Watch Part of the Milton-Madison Bridge Explode (on Purpose)

Using controlled explosives, workers on Tuesday morning blasted a 700-foot section of the Milton-Madison Bridge (connecting Milton, Ky., and Madison, Ind., of course) into the Ohio River. Here's video provided by the Milton-Madison Bridge Project:A newbridge has been built in place of the now-blasted one, which opened in 1929.The pieces of truss that fell are being pulled from the Ohio River and will be placed on barges. They'll be taken to Milton, broken down further and sold for scrap, according to the project. The rest of the 2,427-foot bridge will come down in similar fashion in the coming weeks.
