The agreement reached in June between Jefferson County Public Schools and the Jefferson County Teachers Association on a new labor contract has been released publicly.You can read it here.JCPS began negotiations in early June. The agreement expands the number of choices principals have when hiring and includes no pay increase in the coming year for teachers, among other provisions. You can read more about the agreement here.The Jefferson County Board of Education and JCTA membership have to approve the agreement before it goes into effect. JCTA will send copies of the agreement to teachers along with postcards that will be used for voting. JCTA executive director DeeAnn Flaherty said on Monday that the documents have been sent to a printer will her hope is to have everything in the mail this week.
