Curtis Morrison, the former Progress Kentucky volunteer whoallegedly secretly recorded a meeting between Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and his campaign staff, isn't in hiding, despite reports the FBI is looking for him.WFPL intern Rae Hodge found him at the Flea Off Market in Louisville Saturday. She asked him several questions but Morrison only replied "I appreciate it, but I'm not talking about it right now."Before walking off, he picked up a book off a vendor's table and said:"Great timing. Here, take a picture."It was a copy of Outlaw Journalist: The Life and Times of Hunter S. Thompsonby William McKeen.
The FBI is investigating the recording. Secretly taping others can qualify as eavesdropping—which is a felony in Kentucky—but it's not clear if this particular incident qualifies, as sources claim the recording was made from a hallway, through a door. It's not known if the FBI is pursuing Morrison. But on Thursday, Progress Kentucky Executive Director Shawn Reilly (whom Democratic Party official Jacob Conway says was also complicit in the recording, though Reilly denies this) and his attorneys spoke with WHAS11. WHAS' Joe Arnold tweeted "Atty for @ProgressKy's Shawn Reilly says he has provided material support & information to FBI in their efforts to locate Curtis Morrison."
