The Super PAC American Crossroads has released a stinging ad targeting actress-activist Ashley Judd, who is considering a bid against Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky. The digital spot portrays Judd as an out-of-touch Hollywood liberal and criticizes her for being a supporter of President Obama, living in Tennessee and progressive politics.Watch:The ad is called "Ashley's Story" and cost the group $10,000.Observers say the fact that Karl Rove's Super PAC is attacking Judd is another sign she is running in 2014, or at the very least that Republicans believe she is the top contender.American Crossroads also has ties to Kentucky's senior senator through its current president Stephen J. Law, who served as McConnell's campaign manager in 1990 and later as his chief of staff.Officially, Judd hasn't announced her candidacy, but said she is looking at the Senate race and that "Kentucky needs a fighter."UPDATE 6:05 p.m.:In a statement, Judd's publicist responded to the attack ad: "Ashley thanks Senator McConnell, Karl Rove, and their negative allies for all the attention as she considers her future political plans, although a decision hasn’t been made yet."
