Noise & Notes to Make Radio Debut

For over a year, WFPL Political Editor Phillip M. Bailey has edited the Noise & Notes news blog on WFPL.org. Now he has something for your ears. The Noise & Notes radio show is a relaxed conversation on issues of importance to Louisville, from the news of the day to broader discussions on policy, politics and politicians.“This isn't an interview show," says Bailey, who has been producing Noise & Notes as a weekly podcast for about two months. "You'll hear the sort of candid conversations I have with my colleagues and friends. I'd like to pass the microphone to folks who have different perspectives and insights on local politics than we're accustomed to hearing.”Each week, Bailey will speak with different guests, from politicians and newsmakers to fellow reporters and community members. The first broadcast episode will feature a conversation about the personal side of violence in west Louisville with Shawn Gardner, author of “Me vs. Me: The Struggle Within.”“This isn't what you'll hear in a regular news report,” says WFPL News Director Gabe Bullard. “It's also not the typical punditry that dominates too many political talk shows."Noise & Notes will be broadcast weekly on WFPL 89.3 FM after Tavis Smiley from 10:00 – 10:30pm on Saturdays. You can subscribe to the podcast in iTunes and your favorite player or browser
