Louisville Metro Government is now offering start-up small businesses a conference room with wi-fi that can be reserved in the city's Department of Economic Growth and Innovation in downtown.The space is available Tuesday and Thursday mornings, from 9 a.m. to noon and is free of charge. Availability starts immediately on a trial basis, but reservations are required.Mayor Greg Fischer says the new resource is part of the city's effort to move toward the availability of digital information, and making it easier to conduct business in the digital age. "I want to encourage our entrepreneurs and fledgling businesses to grow, and this is a way that the city can help. A professional setting is important when meeting with potential financiers, partners and clients to get a business off the ground," he says.In order to reserve time for your business, go here. The mayor's office says each appointment will receive a confirmation. The office of innovation is located at the Metro Development Center on 444 S. 5th Street.
