From the Associated PressA southeastern Kentucky lawmaker who was severely injured earlier this year is resigning his House seat.State Representative and public school teacher Dewayne Bunch suffered a head injury while breaking up a fight at Whitley County High School in April. He underwent surgery for an infection and is still recovering.House Republican Leader Jeff Hoover said in a statement that Bunch's family had decided that it was best for him and his constituents to resign.Hoover further highlighted Bunch's military service and teaching and political careers.A special election will have to be held to replace Bunch. The governor will set the date.
