Discussing his views on the banking system and legalizing marijuana in Kentucky, independent Gatewood Galbraith told libertarian filmmaker and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones he is in second place in the race for governor.During the radio program, the Lexington attorney initially said a poll shows him catching up with Republican candidate David Williams in the contest to unseat Democratic Governor Steve Beshear. Later during the broadcast, Jones said the survey showed Galbraith had "pulled past" the Republican state Senate president before Galbraith told listeners he was only behind the governor."We have a hell of a shot at winning," said Galbraith. "It will be the biggest blow for independents and individual sovereignty that has ever happened."However, cn|2 Pure Politics showed Galbraith behind Williams by 24 points. And the Bluegrass Poll conducted in July showed the GOP nominee with 28 percent of the vote to Galbraith's 9 percent.Neither Jones or Galbraith cite the poll in question.Check it out:We called the Galbraith campaign to find out what survey was being cited on-air, but a spokesperson was unavailable for comment.
