by Stephanie CrosbyThose wishing to vote in Indiana can now register to do so online. Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita says the online voter registration service started July first. He says he likes the new offering because it means more people can avoid registering to vote with third parties.“Whether they be groups that have a mischievous end to them or groups that just aren’t very well educated in Indiana laws when it comes to voter registration, both have the same result for the voter," he says.Rokita says those third party groups sometimes end up upsetting voters because they don’t complete the paperwork or complete it incorrectly. He says this way, the voters themselves are filling out their registration forms and submitting them online. He says the registration still won’t be immediate, and will be vetted against other state databases.
