Fair Board Adds Additional Interview Dates for 400 Open Jobs

by Stephanie CrosbyAfter a flood of applicants deluged the Kentucky State Fair Board’s recruitment fairs this week, the board added two additional dates next week. Spokesperson Vicki Glass says they’re hiring for 400 part-time jobs in their Venue Services Department, to staff events at the Kentucky International Convention Center, the Kentucky Exposition Center and the new KFC Yum Center.She says they hope to complete the hiring process as soon as possible.“These individuals will go through customers service training," says Glass, "so by the time we do that, it will be time for everybody to get geared up to work at all three facilities, including the Yum Center.”Glass says 11-hundred people showed up the first day of the recruitment fair, so they’ve added time for on-site interviews on Monday from one to seven and Tuesday from one to five at the Kentucky International Convention Center.
