by Stephanie CrosbyThe Gulf Coast oil disaster has many Louisvillians looking for ways to help– that’s according to one local organization that will hold a community conversation later this week on the topic. Mark Steiner with Cultivating Connections say more people are becoming interested in relief efforts in the Gulf Coast. He says the event Wednesday night will offer ways Louisvillians can get involved in the clean-up, but it will also look at long-term solutions.“One of the things we have to recognize is that we have become very dependent on fossil fuels, both coal and petroleum in particular," says Steiner, "and that simply by using less, we can have a major impact on this relationship.”The event is set for Wednesday evening from seven to nine at the First Unitarian Church on 4th St.
