by Gabe BullardTwo Democrats are vying for their party's nomination for Louisville's 15th District Metro Council seat.Incumbent Marianne Butler says one of her most recent accomplishments was leading the efforts to pick up debris after last year's flood. She says her constituents appreciate that, and the other work she does for them."They'll say, 'I called your office about getting a stop sign replaced or high weeds or I had an issue with me neighbor and it was resolved," she says. "Just the fact that someone there can hear them, listen, and work through an issue with them. They're very receptive."Her challenger, Arthur Raine says he didn't decide to run because he was particularly unhappy with Butler's work, though there are some issues he wants to address."Some little prostitution issues, a lot of theft, some drug issues, things of that nature," she says. "Because of that, I thought it was necessary for me to address those."One Republican, Jody Harral is also seeking the seat. The 15th District covers parts of central, west and southwest Louisville.
