About 145 jobs will be created in Louisville as three startup companies prepare to begin and expand their operations. The companies are manufacturer TRAX Mechanical Systems, Liberty Processing, a check processor, and Bio Pharma Logistics, which provides support to the pharmaceutical industry. Officials say the companies will create a combined 145 jobs.Governor Steve Beshear says with the lagging economy, the state was eager to have the companies based in Louisville."We came into contact with them in various ways," he says. "Some through Greater Louisville Inc. and some contacted us directly. But we work as a partnership between Mayor Abramson and his group here in Louisville and the state."The city and state offered the companies tax and training incentives. Beshear says the new operations will generate about 13 and a half million dollars locally in annual economic activity.
