The selection phase of participants for the Leadership Louisville Connector Project is almost complete. The project sought nominations last year for people who are among the most well-respected and ‘connected’ in Louisville.Organizers have been paring down 55-hundred nominations.Dr. Karen Stephenson – who runs the project - says once the city’s 100 or so ‘connectors’ are identified, they want to make sure they get to know each other.“What happens when they get connected to each other and realize they have a lot to share?" says Stephenson. "And maybe by working together they can do even greater things? This is what happened in Philadelphia and we believe it could happen here in Louisville.”It’s only the second time such a project has been conducted in the U.S. After Louisville, Stephenson will hold similar events in Tucson and Portland. She expects to announce Louisville’s ‘connectors’ within the next two weeks.
