Informational meetings have begun for hundreds of current and former firefighters as they consider a tentative agreement reached with Louisville Metro Government in which they'll be compensated for years of miscalculated overtime.Several firefighters who attended a Wednesday meeting told the Courier-Journal that the settlement, if approved would cost the city as much as $45 million, including attorneys' fees and would be paid out inthree installments.Officially, details of the agreement are being kept confidential until the plan is presented to the Metro Council, which would have to approve it.More informational meetings for firefighters are scheduled today.The city has been in negotiations with firefighters to settle a suit filed over the miscalculated overtime.
