Flood Committee Seeks Public Comment

Metro Sewer District officials will be on-hand for Wednesday's meeting of the Metro Council's ad hoc flood committee.Last week's flood committee meeting featured a presentation from MSD director Bud Schardein. Schardein won't be able to attend the next meeting, but committee co-chair Judy Green says it will feature another MSD official, who will listen to comments from the public."We're going to allow constituents and Metro citizens to ask questions or to even voice problems that they've had personally as they relate to not only this flood but prior drainage issues," Green says. The meeting will run from 6:30 until 8."Any time after an hour, hour and a half, it just becomes redundant, repetitive and becomes a big shouting match from citizens," says Green. "We don't want that."Speakers can sign up for three-minute timeslots starting at 5:30 at City Hall.
