It’s the busiest week of the year for Louisville’s largest employer.UPS spokesperson Mike Mangeot says this Thursday is the busiest shipping day of the year company-wide. As they do every year, UPS has made predictions on how many holiday packages they’ll see – but the difference this year, is that they aren’t releasing those numbers."We’re just being very careful because we know people put a lot of emphasis on the holiday numbers we typically release and in the current environment we just don’t feel like that’s prudent," says Mangeot.UPS also typically hires seasonal workers for the influx of packages. The company hired about 900 temporary workers, which is about 200 fewer than last year.
