Large Storm Debris Clean-Up Begins

Six Louisville Public Works crews start work today on removing trees, trunks and stumps from the right-of-ways in Louisville, left over from the September 14 windstorm. Mayor Jerry Abramson says it will take a considerable amount of time."Public Works will have set-up a grid, they will establish that grid to be able to work through the entire 376 square miles of the city of Louisville, they will move in with trucks and some heavy equipment, and systematically make a sweep of all of the public right-of-ways along the roads and streets of our community," says Abramson.Abramson says crews will NOT pick up branches, leaves or twigs.
