The Red Cross says the need for shelter in the wake of Sunday’s windstorm has been minimal. Since Monday 29 people have spent the night in Red Cross facilities.One shelter, in Louisville Gardens remains open. The Red Cross is also offering electricity for medical devices as well as food, which spokesperson Amber Youngblood says has been more popular than beds.“Outside of the needs of just basic medical assistance and powering up devices, food is definitely what has been requested of us.”Youngblood says the Red Cross has served over 44 hundred meals since Monday.
