The Louisville Metro Council Budget Committee will hold the first of two public hearings on the proposed city budget Wednesday at 9:30 AM.Citizens can sign up for a three minute time slot in the hearing starting at 8:30. Speakers will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. In the two weeks after the hearing, the budget committee and the full council will review and suggest changes to the mayor’s proposed budget, and before the final vote, there will be another public hearing.“The final public hearing on June 18th will start at 6:00 and will go for however long there are speakers who have signed up, so we probably anticipate there might be more folks at second public hearing than at the first one," says Majority Caucus spokesperson Tony Hyatt. The full council is expected to vote on the final budget June 26th.
