Five of the seven Democrats seeking their party’s nomination to unseat incumbent Republican U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell discussed the issues Wednesday at the Louisville Forum. The final question of the afternoon was whether the candidates would support the winner of Tuesday’s primary. All of them said yes, including Greg Fischer, who had recently compared frontrunner Bruce Lunsford to McConnell in a television ad.“The important thing is to get a Democratic President, to remove Mitch McConnell as the chief obstructionist of the Senate with a Democratic Senator and whoever that candidate is I will happily endorse him," said Fischer. The Louisville Forum hosted the debate. Candidates Mike Cassaro, Greg Fischer, Bruce Lunsford, James Rice and Kenneth Stepp attended. David Williams and David Wylie did not participate.
