A Jefferson County outreach organization is expanding its services to include employment assistance.The Neighborhood Place program offers health, education and other family services to Louisvillians. It gets support from a variety of local agencies. It’s newest partner is Kentuckiana Works, which offers job placement and career counseling.Erin Cantrell is the administrator of the Barrett Avenue branch of Neighborhood Place. She says the new partnership fills an important need.“I think the numbers have shown that the city needs help finding employment so we’re bringing Kentuckiana Works in hopes that we can provide that service," she says.Neighborhood Place’s other partners include Jefferson County Public Schools, Seven County Services and the Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness.
