Gas Prices Near Record High

Gas prices in Louisville are approaching an all-time high.  As the price of crude oil continued its rise this week, some gas stations in the Louisville area have increased prices to more than three dollars and forty cents per gallon.Roger Boyd with AAA of Kentucky says gas prices could go up more, but he predicts they will level off at under four dollars.“Four dollars for regular, self-serve unleaded hopefully will not happen this summer," he says. "If it does, it’ll be very temporary. Really what I think we will probably see, I feel very comfortable saying we’ll see prices around $3.50 much more than we will see $4 a gallon throughout most of the summer.”Boyd says drivers can conserve gas by making sure their vehicles are well-maintained and by keeping proper air pressure in the tires.
