Today at 3:30 for The Paws Report:
Three-year-old Holly is a sweet and silly Jack Russell Terrier mix looking for a family to call her own. Holly made her way to the Kentucky Humane Society in December, after transferring from an overcrowded shelter with no room for her. Since arriving, Holly has quickly become a staff and volunteer favorite! She’s an adorable goofball who loves giving kisses, receiving pets and going for long walks with her human companions. Holly is a petite girl who weighs less than twenty pounds, which is great because she loves to sit in her human’s lap! Do you have the time and desire to teach this young pup some new tricks? If so, come meet Holly today! Holly is spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Come visit her today at the Kentucky Humane Society's Main Campus, 241 Steedly Drive in Louisville. Learn about all our adoptable pets at www.kyhumane.org or call 502-366-3355.
The PEDIGREE Foundation recently awarded KHS an Innovation Grant for our new PROUD training program. PROUD (Patriot Rehabilitation of Untrained Dogs) is a foster-based program that pairs veterans and active military personnel and their families with shelter dogs that exhibit behavioral issues that can make them more challenging to adopt. We are currently seeking veterans, active duty military, reservists and National Guard members, military dependents and Gold Star Families to join PROUD. KHS provides all basic supplies; military handlers provide a temporary home, training, structure and love. The first PROUD orientation is Wednesday, January 13.
