Here are the 19 Goals of Louisville's Sustainability Plan

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer is releasing the 19 goals of the city's draft sustainability plan on Twitter this afternoon.Here's a list of the goals, as they're released:Goal #1: Decrease energy use citywide per capita by 25% by 2025.Goal #2: Decrease energy use in city-owned buildings by 30% by 2025.Goal #3: Mitigate the risk of climate change impacts by implementing city adaption and resilience strategies by 2018.Goal #4: Achieve and maintain National Ambient Air Quality standards for priority pollutants.Goal #5: Decrease impervious surfaces and improve waterway quality by 2018.Goal #6: Increase recycling citywide by 25% by 2015. Goal #7: Achieve 90% residential recycling participation by 2025. Goal #8: Divert 50% of solid waste from the landfill by 2025, and 90% by 2042. Goal #9: Decrease transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions by 15% by 2025. Goal #10: Reduce vehicle miles traveled by 15% by 2025. Goal #11: Provide opportunities for clean economy organizations and innovators and develop a qualified workforce to support it by 2015. Goal #12: Expand the local food system by 20% by 2018. Goal #13: Increase access to healthy foods by 20% by 2018. Goal #14: Increase opportunities for active living by installing 10 Mayor's Miles locations by 2015. Goal #15: Incorporate sustainability into the Land Development Code and the Comprehensive Plan by 2015. Goal #16: Replace and reforest parks property and provide nature-based recreation by 2018. Goal #17: Expand green infrastructure incentives citywide by 2018. Goal #18: Establish a robust urban tree canopy and implement strategies to mitigate the urban heat island effect by 2020. Goal #19: Engage the community in sustainability practices and principles through education and outreach efforts by 2020. We'll have more on the report later this afternoon.
