Louisville Public Media (LPM) announces new leadership to its Board of Directors, beginning July 1, 2013. Todd P. Lowe has been elected as Board Chair. Christopher Doane has been elected Vice Chair and Ronald J. Murphy will serve as Secretary/Treasurer. Dwight Dozier has joined as a new member of the LPM Board of Directors.
Todd P. Lowe is president of Parthenon LLC. Lowe has served on a number of boards including the Kentucky Arts Council, Actors Theatre of Louisville, The Speed Art Museum and Southern Arts Federation. He has also served as Chair of the global President's Council of CFA Institute. In 2012 Lowe was awarded the James S. Welch Sr. Arts Leadership Award in recognition of his philanthropic service to the Louisville community.
Christopher Doane is Professor of Music and Dean of the School of Music at the University of Louisville. Doane has served on the Boards of the Louisville Orchestra, Louisville Ballet, Music Toscana and the Friends of the School of Music. He is also a senior program evaluator and consultant for the National Association of Schools of Music and is an elected member of the Commission on Accreditation of NASM.
Ronald J. Murphy is co-founder of The Glenview Trust Company. He has served on a number of community boards including: Louisville Collegiate School, The Speed Art Museum, Louisville Olmsted Parks Conservancy and in 2007 served as Chairman of the Fund for the Arts Campaign. In 1999 Murphy received the Charles W. Allen Award in recognition of his community leadership.
Dwight D. Dozier is Associate Vice President for Advancement Services at the University of Louisville. Dozier is active in the Louisville community, serving as Board President of the University Club at the University of Louisville and as a board member of CASE Kentucky. He is also an active musician with the Jerry Tolson Quartet. Dozier previously served as Chairman of the LPM Board of Directors from 2006-2007.
