Friday on Byline we took a broad look at a number of stories pertaining to the KFC Yum! Center, the State Fair Board, and the Bluegrass Boardwalk theme park. Marcus Green of the Courier-Journal was our guest. We discussed the recent decision by the arena authority to drop the fair board and seek new management, the financial challenges, and the junk bond designation by Moody's. As well, we discussed the ongoing dialog about the fair board and the adjacent theme park (formerly Six Flags), and several complications to bringing it back as a new entity, Bluegrass Boardwalk.Later, Chris Sikich of the Indianapolis Star joined us by phone and we shifted to a discussion of the Ohio River Bridges Project, and specifically the proposed tunnel in east Louisville and how it gets financed.[Note: Since this segment was broadcast live on Friday, Bluegrass Boardwalk announced they would withdraw from the project to reopen Kentucky Kingdom.]
