In college basketball, the Kentucky Wildcats held off Louisiana State 60-51 today in the second round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament.Michael Kidd-Gilchrist led UK with 19 points. Kentucky will play either Alabama or Florida at noon tomorrow in the semifinals.In the Big Ten Tournament, Indiana was eliminated by Wisconsin today, 79-71.Louisville returns to action tonight in the Big East Tournament in New York, taking on Notre Dame in a semifinal game. Tipoff is scheduled for 9:00pm.
Rick Howlett was midday host and the host of LPM's weekly talk show, "In Conversation." He was with LPM from 2001-2023 and held many different titles, including Morning Edition host, Assignment Editor and Interim News Director. He died in August 2023. Read a remembrance of Rick here.
