The Louisville Cards have advanced in the men’s Big East Conference basketball tournament in New York City. U of L defeated Seton Hall 61-55 tonight to reach the quarterfinal round.The seventh-seeded Cards will take on second-seeded Marquette tomorrow evening at Madison Square Garden. Kentucky begins play Friday in the Southeastern Conference Tournament in New Orleans. The top-seeded Wildcats will face either Louisiana State or Arkansas Friday afternoon at 1:00pm.The Indiana Hoosiers take the court tomorrow in the Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis. Fifth-seeded IU faces Penn State at about 2:00pm.The men’s Division One NCAA tournament pairings will be announced Sunday. Western Kentucky and Murray State are both guaranteed a spot after winning their conference tournaments this week. The men’s NCAA Division Two tournament begins Sunday. Louisville’s Bellarmine Knights are the defending national champions.
