Kids Count in Kentucky & Indiana

Monday, January 26, 2009
Kids COunt in Kentucky & Indiana

If you need anymore evidence of our nation's troubled economy, you need not look any further than the kids of Kentucky and Southern Indiana. The most recent Kids Count report shows an increase in the number of children living in poverty in our region, as well as an increase in children who qualify for free or reduced lunches. It’s not all bad news though, as the same report shows a reduction in teen births and high school dropouts. Join us Monday as we explore the Kids Count data, what it all means for the children in our area, and what the future may hold.
