Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels is giving all of the state's counties an early payment of property tax relief funds so some of them can use the money for disaster recovery."We are going to advance the money that would otherwise come several months from now which will flow to property tax payers as part of the tax cut of this year," Daniels said. "We're going to advance that to the 92 counties now. $620 million."Daniels says many local governments are facing cash-flow problems in the wake of flooding and storms. He says it's hoped the money they're spending now on repairs and other weather-related costs will be replaced by federal disaster funds.
