Les Amazones d'Afrique - "Dombolo" (feat. Angelique Kidjo)

What's being billed as the first all-female supergroup of West Africa, Les Amazones d'Afrique is the new collective of Kandia Kouyaté, Mamani Keita, Rokia Koné, Mariam Doumbia (of Amadou and Mariam), Nneka, Mariam Koné, Mouneïssa Tandina, and Pamela Badjogo. Not only does that lay out a ton of exciting musical possibilities, but the entire project is amplified with the mission statement of using their music to campaign for gender equality, something as important in their home countries as it is here. The latest listen in on the debut features international superstar, and WFPK favorite, Angelique Kidjo joining in, so do not wait another moment to check this out!
