Today at 3:30 for The Paws Report:
Meet Shiloh, a pretty one-year-old kitty with unusual ears. Shiloh’s fur is almost all white except for a bit of gray on the top of her head. This sweetheart with yellow-green eyes came to the Kentucky Humane Society from an overcrowded shelter. When she arrived at our doors in April, her ears were quite infected - something we think she may have suffered from for a long time, as the shape of her ears are a bit unusual. (We affectionately think she looks a bit like Dr. Spock!) At KHS, our veterinary team treated her ears, and they look so much better! She's definitely a happier cat now too, and she enjoys meeting new people and snuggling. Shiloh is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Meet Shiloh at the Kentucky Humane Society’s Main Campus at 241 Steedly Drive in Louisville. View all our adoptable pets at www.kyhumane.org or call 502-366-3355 for more information.
KHS currently has 273 kittens and mama cats in foster care right now, and more are coming in! People interested in becoming foster caregivers should contact Kayla Saylor, or foster coordinator, at foster@kyhumane.org or 502-366-3355 ext. 2260. KHS provides all the necessary supplies and training. Once the kittens are old enough for adoption (usually 2-4 weeks), they (and their moms) come back to KHS to be spayed/neutered and placed for adoption.
In addition, June is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month; we are offering $10 adoptions on select cats the entire month. This is done in partnership with Best Friends Animal Society. LMAS is also offering the same adoption special all month long.
