Shemekia Copeland in-studio

Queen of The Blues Shemekia Copelandwon over Louisville last night at our final Waterfront Wednesday of the season. She has earned the coveted title of "Queen" from the late Koko Taylor for a reason: the girl can sing like nobody's business and she's a great performer too. Plus, she cares deeply about the Blues as a viable and evolving genre of music. Her new album is titled 33 1/3.
