After three years since Amy Millan's debut solo disc, Honey From the Tombs, she's finally gathered another collection and is currently on the promotional ramp for the forthcoming Master's of the Burial due out on Sept. 8. The Broken Social Scene and Stars vocalist has also decided to lead the album with a cover this time around, Death Cab For Cutie's "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" giving it a twangy spin, and personally speaking, pulling off a performance so good that it almost makes the original Ben Gibbard penned tune feel like the cover, which is a dangerous thing to say about a song that means so much to a snapshot of a generation.
