2011 Young Artist Competition and Winners’ Recital

  Calling Young Musicians!  2011 Young Artist Competition and Winners’ Recital  

 Young musicians, ages 8-18, are invited to enter the 2011 Classical 90.5/PNC Wealth Management Young Artist Competition. Soloists and ensembles are encouraged to compete on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Louisville Public Media,619 S. Fourth Street.

Applications must be postmarked by October 22, 2011. This is a free contest, although a deposit of $20 is required with every entry (check or money order, no cash). The deposit will be returned when the musician appears for the competition.

Winners and honorable mentions will have the opportunity to take part in a live broadcast performance on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at noon. The Winners’ Recital will be featured on “Lunchtime Classics,” a free weekly concert series presented by Classical 90.5. The public is invited to attend. Information will be available at wuol.org.
