WFPL Honored with Prestigious Regional Awards

(Louisville, KY—7/25/08) This week, 89.3 WFPL was honored in Atlanta at the very prestigious 58th Annual Green Eyeshade Awards, a Society of Professional Journalists contest that recognizes excellence in 11 Southern states.Kentucky Public Radio’s Capital bureau chief Tony McVeigh took first place in the Radio Division for Political Reporting with a piece on the Kentucky Governor’s Race.
