Though no serious accumulation is expected, what little snow falls on ice-covered or untreated roads may cause driving hazards, the weather service adds.Also, the weather service says black ice may be an issue Thursday.Earlier: The National Weather Service is urging Louisville area motorists to reduce speeds and keep safe distances from other vehicles Thursday morning because of cold and potential for quick snow.Atravelers' advisory is in effect for the Louisville area until 10 a.m.Some quick flurries may move through the Louisville area, too, the weather service said. Untreated roads with leftover snow/slush from the past couple of winter weather events may be slick.The high temperature is forecast to be 25.Oldham County Schools, Nelson County Schools,West Clark Community Schools,Shelby County Schoolsand Bullitt County Public Schoolsare closed Thursday. New Albany-Floyd County Schoolsare on a two-hour delay.Several electrical customers in the Louisville areawere without service because of the winter weather that began on Tuesday evening. About 300 were without service in Oldham County. Early Thursday morning, LG&E had 1,026 customers without service in Louisville. LG&E spokeswoman said some may not get service back until Thursday evening.
