Metro Government Upgrades Website

Louisville Metro Government officials are touting a series of upgrades to the city website. They say information is now more organized and easier to find. The site now features a box on the front page with the most-accessed information. This includes job listings, garbage collection schedules and permit applications. But mayor's spokesperson Phil Miller says the changes also bring the site in-line with an ordinance passed by the Metro Council last year."The changes that we've just rolled out bring us into full compliance with the e-transparency ordinance, in that we've put another layer of contracts on the website in the Your Tax Dollars At Work area," he says.City workers and an outside contractor performed the upgrades. The total cost to the city was around 75 thousand dollars.
