Louisville officials say a recent fundraising effort for Waterfront Park was a success.Last year, Thronton's issued a challenge to raise money for the Waterfront Park Clean Team, which is a group of teenagers who maintain the park during the summer.Waterfront Development Corporation President David Karem says the drive brought in enough money to keep the team in operation for several summers."For the next three years, 2010-11-12, we will have the Clean Team in place," he says. "It's a program of $35,000 a year and it hires 8 to 10, or maybe even 10 to 12, young people in the summertime."Karem says fundraising will continue, to keep the team funded at least two years in advance.
