H1N1 General Population Clinics Start Today

H1N1 vaccine clinics start today for any Louisvillian who wants one. After running clinics in schools and at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium for those considered at high risk to contract H1N1, the health department is now offering the vaccine to anyone who wants it. Director Dr. Adewale Troutman says appointment-only clinics start today.“We’ve focused our efforts on immunizing the high-risk groups as defined by the CDC," says Troutman. "We feel we have successfully reached those groups, based upon our output and demand, and now that supply issues have literally been resolved, we feel it’s time to expand to the rest of the public.”The clinics will take place at the Government Center on Barrett Avenue, the Middletown Fire Station and the PRP Fire Station. Appointments can be made by calling the city’s H1N1 hotline.
