Census workers will be combing the streets of Kentucky starting this week. More than two-thousand workers, equipped with GPS devices, will be verifying addresses through the summer. Spokesperson Gerard Littlejohn says the 2010 Census is exactly one year away.“The address canvassing is our first big, major field operation," says Littlejohn. "So right now we’re doing the address canvassing, that’s going to run from April until July. Then later on in the fall, we’re going to have more of our local census offices opening up.”Census offices are already up and running in Louisville and Lexington. Five more offices will be opened throughout the state.
