Metro Parks Asks For Public Input

Louisville Metro Parks will hold a public meeting this week regarding potential improvements at Jefferson Memorial Forest.Officials are looking for suggestions from the community on what new services or facilities the 6,000 acre preserve should offer.Metro Parks spokesperson Jason Cissell says while the forest is part of the parks system, it also relies on donations, and fundraising will also be discussed.“For our parks to be successful it’s got to be a public-private partnership and we aggressively pursue not only those general fund dollars but also grants from state and federal government, grants from charitable organizations and donations from individuals who love parks," says CissellThe meeting will be held Wednesday night at 6:00 at Fairdale High School.
