Lisa Bielawa joined us in anticipation of the upcoming premiere of Send The Carriage Through, a work she composed over the last two months for the Louisville Orchestra as part of their inaugural Creators Corps. The piece is a rumination on the act of leadership through the lens of the role of the conductor. But Bielawa found a direct spark of inspiration while watching an internationally televised funeral.
