Paul files for re-election

Proving it's never too early, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul has filed to seek re-election in 2016. It's been just three months since Paul has taken office, but the Tea Party darling is already mulling over a potential presidential bid. From the Washington Post:The Kentucky Republican who has been talking about possibly running for president next year filed a statement of candidacy to run for a second term in the Senate on March 21, some three months after taking office.

Rand Paul has suggested he may run for the Republican presidential nomination next year if his father (Congress Ron Paul) doesn’t. While his father hasn’t officially announced another presidential run, he has been testing the water.

The Paul family is making all sorts of political news these days. It was recently reported that the freshman senator's brother, Robert Paul, a doctor in Ft. Wayne, says he has “thought about running” for the seat representing Texas in the Senate.Since Ron and Rand are "roomies" in a D.C. condo, I've been pushing a reality television show featuring the family. Another Paul in Congress makes this a more legitimate idea, no?
