Young Artist Competition and Winners’ Recital

Young musicians, ages 8-18, are invited to enter the 2012 Classical 90.5/PNC Wealth Management Young Artist Competition. Soloists and ensembles are encouraged to compete on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Louisville Public Media, 619  S. Fourth Street.

Applications must be postmarked by October 26.

Winners will have the opportunity to take part in a live broadcast performance on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at noon. The Winners’ Recital will be featured on “Lunchtime Classics,” a free weekly concert series presented by Classical 90.5. The public is invited to attend. Updated information will be available at wuol.org.

Classical 90.5 is a public radio service that broadcasts music and cultural programming 24/7. It offers free weekly recitals in the performance studio at 619 S. Fourth St. The station nurtures youth through the Young Artist Competition and Instrumental Partners, a program that places instruments in the hands of deserving youth in our public schools.
