WFPK Radio Louisville Partners with Kri and Hettie to Present Songwriting Workshop for Teens

91.9 WFPK Radio Louisville, with Louisville-based music duo Kri and Hettie, is proud to preset the 2nd season of POMP (Power of Music Project) songwriting workshop for teens.

The workshops will be held in the studios of Louisville Public Media beginning Saturday, December 13, 2014 and will continue for six months. Each session will be led by a musical professional to address various aspects of artistic development with focus on authentic voice, song creation, performance, and promotion. The series will offer an equally important focus on life perspective, compassion, and community involvement.

Teens ages 13 to 17 can apply for this workshop now through November 25th online at thePowerofMusicProject.com. Tuition to participate will be paid in community service hours equal to the hours spent at workshop (minimum of 36 hours).  There will be opportunities to do community service as a group and as an individual.

A benefit concert and opening ceremonies to kickoff the season will be held on Saturday, November 8 at 7:00 p.m. at First Unitarian Church. The event will feature performances by alumni of the project as well as Kri and Hettie. Harry Pickens will emcee the event.

More information is available at thePowerofMusicProject.com.
