89.3 WFPL News Wins 9 First Place, 10 Second Place AP Broadcasters Awards

WFPL News has won nine first place Associated Press Awards for excellence in journalism including  Best Public Affairs, Best Sports Feature, Best Sports Reporting, Best Political Coverage, Best Enterprise Reporting, Best Long Serious News Feature, Best Website, Best Use of Sound, and Best Radio Anchor. In addition, WFPL News has been awarded ten second place awards and six honorable mentions.   The awards were distributed by the Kentucky Associated Press Broadcasters for news coverage in 2013.
