Choral Celebration Benefits Classical 90.5

Classical 90.5 presents the seventh annual Holiday Choral Festival on Sunday, December 4, at 3 p.m., at St. Martin of Tours. Celebrate the season amidst a brilliant array of voices and musical selections, including the warm beauty of Gabriel Fauré and John Gardner’s joyful setting of traditional English carols.

The program will feature the internationally acclaimed University of Louisville Cardinal Singers, directed by Kent Hatteberg, the combined Indiana University Southeast Concert Choir & Community Chorus, directed by Mariana Farah, and organist Mark Walker. The performance will be recorded for later broadcast on Classical 90.5.

“We’re grateful to these artists for sharing their gifts with the community and supporting Classical 90.5,” said Donovan Reynolds, president of Louisville Public Media. Throughout the year, the community-owned and operated Classical 90.5 broadcasts 24/7 and offers free weekly performances in the Louisville Public Media performance studio. The non-profit public radio station also nurtures youth through the Young Artists Competition and Instrumental Partners, a program that places instruments in the hands of deserving youth in our public schools.

Tickets to the Holiday Choral Festival are available today at ticketfly.com, by phone at 877.435.9849, or at Louisville Public Media (619 S. Fourth St.).
