No, Everyone Doesn't Hate Guy Fieri (But It Can Seem That Way)

There was a special guest at Fourth Street Live on Tuesday: Celebrity chef Guy Fieri appeared alongside Mayor Greg Fischer and Gov. Matt Bevin to announce his plans to open a new restaurant in the downtown entertainment district.

Guy Fieri’s Smokehouse will open in September, and it’s a concept he hopes to take to other cities.

I noticed a lot of eye-rolling on Twitter when the announcement was made, and I was curious: Why do so many people dislike this guy? Louisville is a foodie town with a strong local, farm-to-table movement -- is Fieri's fare unwelcome here?

So I asked around.
